So, who am I?
An eclectic mix of bustling Chicago streets and genteel Charleston style, I grew up in the Jefferson Park area of the Windy City, spent most of my life in coastal South Carolina, and currently reside in Central Florida.
I’m a speculative thriller writer and manuscript editor with a sharp eye, a dark sense of humor, and zero patience for flabby prose. I’ve got the credentials of a former English instructor and MFA candidate, the instincts of a horror buff, and the heart of a coach who genuinely wants other writers to win. I love haunted, complicated characters, and stories that go just a bit too far, and I bring that same energy to my editing: supportive, incisive, a little bit fearless, and always focused on making the work stronger.
Credentials matter, so here’s the quick bio-reel:
B.A. in English, writing concentration,
Former English and Journalism instructor,
MFA candidate,
Online course writer for the State Dept. of Ed., and
Former publishing house copyeditor.
